The next CCS meeting is scheduled for Cave of the Clouds near Glenwood Springs, hosted by the Defiance Cave Preserve owners, Mike and Donna Frazier. It will start at 11:00 AM. Plan on arriving early enough to allow 15-30 minutes to hike up to the cave from the parking lot.
Bring a chair or pad to sit on, because the cave floor is dirt. It is coolish so bring a jacket and a headlight. Bring basic caving gear if you want to explore around the cave. Food, water, and other beverages are fine but please use cave etiquette and bring a large ziploc to eat over. Unfortunately, there will be no remote internet access this time for people who cannot attend in person.
We are planning on going up to nearby Drapery Den Cave after the meeting to haul out a load of trash. If you can participate in this, bring gloves and maybe a big pack. We will have garbage bags.
